MobiVoc is Partner of bIoTope Project

published on by Annette Weilandt

The bIoTope project lays the foundation for open innovation ecosystems, where companies can – with minimal investment – innovate by creating new Systems-of-Systems (SoS) platforms for connected smart objects. bIoTope develops several smart city proofs-of-concept and pilots, implemented in three distinct cities and regions (Helsinki, Grand Lyon, Brussels Region). bIoTope is a three-year project funded by the Horizon 2020 program, Call ICT30: Internet of Things and Platforms for Connected Smart Objects. Project coordinator is Aalto University in Finland.

Since bIoTope also addresses smart mobility solutions, the MobiVoc partners eccenca, Fraunhofer IAIS, BMW and BIBA joined the project consortium to support and test the collaborative development of an open RDF vocabulary for mobility solutions. The vocabulary will be used for the implementation of a city pilot use case.

We are looking forward to meet the whole project consortium at the kick-off meeting at the end of January 2016.
