bIoTope project publishes Mobility Data based on MobiVoc

published on by Niklas Petersen

bIoTope partner eccenca GmbH publishes a charging point dataset compliant to the MobiVoc vocabulary. Based on the Open Data provided by the OpenChargeMap Database which is available as JSON, eccenca transformed it into an RDF graph to showcase how Mobility Data can be published using the MobiVoc vocabulary.

In detail, the dataset contains charging points for eletric vehicles in Belgium, France, Finland and the Netherlands. It includes the address information, the available plug types, a general description, the geospatial context and a mapping to the Open Database DBPedia country location. Additionally, the dataset contains information about nearby restaurants and more details about provider organization operating the charging points.

The data provides a solid basis for Internet of Things (IoT) applications which want to make use of a strong semantic definition (MobiVoc) and add context data based on the links to another database (DBPedia). The charging point dataset is available on GitHub: OpenChargMap.ttl.
